Today's ridin was great, real great. A little chilly but man oh man the second I turned west I got a BLAST of tailwind. Was one of those where I just grabbed a meaty gear and spun easily whilst flying at a rapid pace towards work. Saw Cornbread on the way in, fightin the wind I wanted to hug, but he still had a smile on his face. Amazing, isn't that? It isn't often I see a regular cyclist who isn't smiling, or able to make a big ole genuine toothy smile on command. It can be rainin', cold, with a headwind in your face and even then - if you are on a bike - you can probably find something to smile about.
That's really, just how it is. And it's good. For sure, by far, better than anything else.

Thanks for the linkage lovin. I've been reading your blog for a while. Good luck on your 200 mile ride this summer. It looks like a killer.

Drop me an email at mssymplicite@gmail.com to read it.
Quite honestly, I just stumbled on your blog through links on Mike J.'s blog and I really like it. I am en route to getting where you're going weight-wise. I found something that I eat every morning lately that keeps me full for quite a while; a tb. of flax seed meal mixed in yogurt. Tastes like yogurt and nuts all together. I will keep reading your blog!

Wow, thanks everyone! I'm working on the linkage.. sharin' the love, as they say.
I've been following your blog for a while since it was "I don't like food". Great stuff. It makes me get out and ride when I fall into a funk.
Keep it up!

Ben, awesome seeing you on my commute this week. Man, that wind really sucked the other day, but any bad day on a bike is waaaaay better than a good day in a car.
Your "twitter" messge about freaked me out! Please don't scare me again. I'm wanting to hit that 100 mile MUP that you Corn Huskers call gravel roads this year or next!

Not a lurker...just stumbled across your blog via Fatty's. I've enjoyed reading your posts and will check back from time to time. Now if the wind would stop...or even slow a bit...I could get outside on my bike and life would be really good! :-)
Love your blog. Love your perspective. Will link to yours asap. Keep it up!
This post is a good idea - I'm afraid of doing it on mine for fear that nobody will respond. Lol.
