Some days it doesn't matter if you're wearing work shoes and wool dress pants on a 90 degree day, you just gotta ride. I kind of dig those days where it's the end of the day and I go "I just really want to go home" so I don't change into anything cycling-specific other than a helmet, and pedal home. Pretty hard to beat.

If only I didnt live 11 uphill miles away.
Short and sweet. Good to see a guy cycling, just for the fun of it (and the health benefits too).
What kind of bike do you have?
You might think about rolling up your right pant leg, unless you want to add a new pair of wool slacks to your wish list. I speak from bitter experience.
Just ride! I like it! Just get out the door on the bike and leave the work stuff behind.
Daniel - hey, but at least one way is downhill.. right? :)
Big Clyde - Fun is really the only reason to do it, in my experience. I ride a Surly Long Haul Trucker, which is pretty much the best bike I've ridden.
David - Good catch, funny thing is I realized that three or four miles own the road, almost before it was too late. Don't think I would have lived that one down..
Big Oak - Amazing how that works. A hour ont he bike can reset any stress a whole day built.
Yes. The way in is mostly downhill. I get there at least ten minutes faster. My Livestrong iPhone app records my morning commute as more calories burned since it's at a faster pace while I work way harder on the way home.
I'm totally with you, Brother. It's so simple. I just hop on my bike and ride, and pretty soon, I'm happy.
