I have Kenda Klondikes and have been really impressed by them, although their metal studs reportedly will wear down much more quickly than the carbide studs on Nokians. When the Klondikes go, I'll be ordering some Nokians from Mr. White.

Regardless, the studded tires make a huge difference on ice and hard-packed snow. You won't regret that purchase.

I have Nashbars (Rebranded Kenda Klondikes) and I love em. I ride em every winter, all winter, so I don't have to be nervous about slipping. My ride in to work and home is now only 8 miles each way, so I won't be racking up the miles like I did last year at 11 each way, but hey, miles is miles. Keep pedalin!

I just ordered two of those same tires last Friday, I had them by Tuesday and have been riding with them the rest of the week. Be careful on glare ice - they still slide, especially if you take a sharp turn. Our snow melted last week but we just got more last night, so this morning I'm going snow riding.
